High Taxes and Crime Blamed for Britons Leaving the Country
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: More than a third of wealthy British residents are considering leaving the country because of high taxes, the weather and crime.

A study by of 1,000 people with more than £250,000 in savings and investments found 35pc may move abroad because of high tax rates, while 44pc blamed the weather and 43pc want to avoid antisocial behaviour.

China's South Fighting Big Freeze, Mass Evacuation In Progress

CHINA NEWS - An incredible freezing condition in south-western China have forced people to flee from their homes. According to the Chinese authority, a mass evacuation of 58,000 people have been already done.

The place is literally frigid where ice and snow have blocked the roads, leaving thousands of motorists stranded.

The authorities said that more than 1000 homes were badly affected by the weather condition, breaking of roofs in more than 1000 homes in five provinces.

The citizens who are living in mountains have undergoing through terrible time - where tens of thousands being evacuated.

The bad weather not only affects people but also damaged 300,000 acres of crops with a loss of nearly $200m (£129m).

Across south-western China, highways and general transport system are badly affected by the bad weather. The forecast says, the frigid condition will continue until Friday.

India's Capital Witness Icy Winds, Mercury Dips 3.7 Deg C

INDIA NEWS - The entire North India shivered today, including national capital New Delhi, under intense cold wave which has claimed thirteen more lives. The mercury level continues to be under sub-zero levels in the hills of the this part of the country.

In Allahabad, city of Uttar Pradesh state, the mercury went below 3 dec C that has left 8 people dead. It is first time in seven years in the city that mercury has dipped so down in the first week of January.

From other parts of Uttar Pradesh state, 5 more deaths were reported that includes two in Jaunpur and Pratapgarh, and one in Barabanki.

In Churk (Uttar Pradesh), lowest temperation of the state was recorded. The mercury dipped to 0.6 deg c.

It was minimum 4 deg C in Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh, and maximum was 16.6 deg C.

In the national capital, icy wind is blowing making the day bone-chilling. The minimum temperature dropped to 3.7 deg C and the maximum was 12 deg C.

The Leh town of Kashmir experienced the minimum of minus 20 deg C. The Gulmarg skiing resort recorded minus 9.2 deg C as minimum. Tourist resort at Pahalgam recorded minimum temperature of minus 7.7 deg C.

Gateway town to Kashmir Valley, Qazigund, witnessed a freezing temperature of minus 8.4 deg C and Anantnag district's Kokernag town experienced a temperature of as low as minus 7.5 deg C.
