CNN’s Drew Griffin investigates the North Carolina state justice system where an audit of the lab ordered by the North Carolina State Attorney General found more than 200 cases between 1986 and 2003 in which key blood test results were withheld from trial. In many cases, the evidence withheld would have helped the defense. In three of those cases, defendants were executed; four more are on death row. Griffin looks closely at the cases of Greg Taylor, who wrongly served 17 years in prison, and Floyd Brown, who was confined to a mental institution for 14 years.
