weird post-lou reed version of the velvet underground playing (covering?) what goes on

with maureen tucker on drums. live in amsterdam, taking those tokes, 1971. looks like maureen tucker took her baby on tour by the photo.

cool clip of vu w/ angus maclaise drumming and some dude on saxophone!!!!

too bad there isn't any sound! d'oh!
but i bat bat hombre will be stoked to know that the alternate reality version of vu w/ saxaphone sort of happened, even if john cale wasn't the one playing sax.

velvet underground - what goes on / follow the leader apartment demo

"follow the leader" from the quine tapes is one of my favorite velvet underground songs, and so is "what goes on," so it's kinda cool to know that this recording exists. would be better if this was a full band version, though...

anyhow, i guess lou reed did a version of follow the leader on one of his solo albums (i just found this out a few minutes ago...)

and then my mind blew open

NUMBER ONE BLOG DOG CONTEST--- if you can get me to agree that another song is better than this i will send you ten drawings.
