Film What Would Kenny Do? Trailer Review

Ashton Kutcher dijadwalkan akan berperan dalam film yang bercerita tentang Justin Bieber di masa yang akan datang. Menurut LA Times, Bieber dan Kutcher akan berkolaborasi untuk Film non-musikal What Would Kenny Do?. Isi Film tentang seorang pria yang melakukan perjalanan demi membimbing anak berumur17 yang belajar di sekolah tinggi.

film berjudul "What Would Kenny Do?", sebuah komedi yang akan diproduksi oleh Sony bekerjasama dengan Katalyst Entertainment milik Ashton Kutcher dan Overbrook Entertainment yang merupakan perusahan hiburan milik Will Smith.


Bieber nantinya akan memerankan remaja berusia 17 tahun yang secara tiba-tiba bertemu dengan sebuah hologram yang mengaku sebagai versi masa depan dari dirinya dia. Nah, Ashton Kutcher kabarnya akan memerankan si hologram ini, yang kemudian akan membantu si remaja melalui masa-masa SMA.

Skrip awal "What Would Kenny Do?" yang ditulis oleh Chris Baldi kabarnya kembali ditulis ulang oleh Scott Neustadter dan Michael Weber, kursi sutradaranya sendiri masih kosong. Film ini rencananya akan mulai syuting tahun ini namun padatnya jadwal tur Bieber kemungkinan akan memaksa produksi untuk mundur ke 2012.


Sebelumnya, dokumenter Justin Bieber "Never Say Never" bisa terbilang sukses di box office, minggu pertama berhasil merangkak ke posisi kedua, film "What Would Kenny Do?" ini juga bukan untuk pertama kalinya Justin Bieber benar-benar harus berakting, karena dalam film serial televisi "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", Bieber terlibat dalam beberapa episode.

Tetapi ketika Voldemort mengtahui misi mereka, pertempuran terbesar dimulai dan kehidupan mereka menjadi sangat berbeda seperti sebelumnya. 

Untuk melenyapkan Harry selama-lamanya. Ketika Ron dan Hermione tetap mencari dan berusaha memusnahkan sisa horcrux yang masih tersisa, tidak ada kesempatan bagi Harry untuk mundur.
karena Voldemort sudah menguasai Hogwarts dan pemerintahan dunia sihir. Finnaly, Harry dan Voldemort pun berhadapan di sekolah sihir Hogwarts. 

Mungkin itu lah garis besar penghubung dari part I menuju Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 yang merupakan seri ke tujuh ini.
Jika part I mengisahkan tentang perjalanan, part II ini merupakan pertempuran. Hogwarts dipilih menjadi ajang penentuan hidup dan mati antara Lord Voldemort dan Harry Potter.
Seperti yang tertulis di bukunya, film ini juga akan penuh dengan mantra, kilatan sinar dari tongkat sihir, dan kegelapan.
Film terakhir ini menjadi klimaks sekaligus penentu akhir keberhasilan seri Harry Potter dalam mendobrak dunia box office.
Dengan tetap menampilkan Daniel Radcliffe sebagai Harry Potter, Rupert Grint sebagai Ron Weasley, Emma Watson sebagai Hermione Granger, dan Ralph Fiennes sebagai Lord Voldemort, para fans setia harus berpisah dengan seri yang telah membuat J.K Rowling berdiri di deretan orang terkaya di Holywood.
Ya, karena setelah film ini usai ditayangkan, tidak akan lagi ada buku atau film yang akan dirilis. Walaupun tidak menutup kemungkinan muncul remake-nya beberapa tahun ke depan.

Inilah salah satu bagian yang paling banyak di tunggu2 oleh seluruh penggemar Harry Potter di seluruh dunia, dan di Indonesia pada khususnya.

"Midnight Cowboy" Featured By Directors Guild of America Theatre in New York City

I got an email from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that they are going to screen the classic "Midnight Cowboy" in New York City, March 16th. You can gain a "taste" for the film from this fan-made trailer:

The Academy reports: "The 1969 Best Picture winner “Midnight Cowboy” will screen for New York audience as part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ “Monday Nights with Oscar®” series on Monday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Directors Guild of America Theatre in New York City.

"Academy Award®-winning producer Jerome Hellman will join Academy Award-nominated actress Sylvia Miles in a post-screening discussion. David V. Picker, the executive-in-charge at United Artist during the film’s development, will moderate the onstage conversation, which also will include actor Bob Balaban, cinematographer Adam Holender, composer John Barry and costumer designer Ann Roth.

“Midnight Cowboy” stars Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight as two mainstream society outcasts who forge an unlikely friendship on the lonely and unforgiving streets of New York City. The film endures as a powerful story of friendship, compassion and redemption.

Josh Wolf Documentary Project: Sierra Choi Needs Your Help

John Wolf spent 226 days in jail to protect his videos and sources, and caused the creation of a new law protecting video-bloggers. Now Sierra Choi is directing and producing a documentary - the trailer is here as part of my video blog.

At the time in 2006, I met Josh when he worked for the television division at Peralta Community College. He was also in the middle of his battle with the Federal Government, but even then was still focused on his work, and didn't spend a lot of time fretting about what could happen.

Then Josh defied San Francisco U.S. District Judge William Alsup's order to turn over the videos Josh had taken from a anti-G8 anarchist protes heldt in San Francisco on July 8, 2005. Wolf feared that the U.S. Government in the form of the FBI simply wanted to identify the people who were protesting and not solve a crime they claim had been committed against a police officer. Wolf's videos did not contain any footage of a police officer being harmed.

Still, U.S. District Judge William Alsup order Wolf to be held in jail for civil contempt of court later in 2006. Then, after negotiations, he was released but still refused to give up any of his videos, offering instead to post them online and show them to the Judge himself. Initially the judge refused, and Wolf was ordered back to jail.

Eventually, and after 226 days, Wolf agreed to show the then unseen video clip online and was released from jail. He never gave a copy of the video to the goverment.

In the wake of his ordeal and new stronger "shield" law has been placed in California law to protect journalists of all kinds, from print to blogs. We have Josh to thank for this.
