Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Kiss Among Billboard Awards Highlights

They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but on Sunday night, pop culture lovers everywhere were treated to a festival of debauchery and fun at the Billboard Music Awards, which were held in Sin City and broadcast live on ABC.

There were two kisses that will certainly have people talking for days. When Britney Spears took the stage with Rihanna for their sexy performance of "S&M," the two shared a kiss. Of course, Spears isn't new to onstage girl-on-girl lip-locks, having shared one with Madonna back in 2003. On Sunday, Spears also took the stage with Nicki Minaj, but no spit was swapped during that other girl-power performance.

Perhaps a more surprising kiss occurred when Justin Bieber kissed girlfriend Selena Gomez after it was announced that he won the award for Top New Artist. Although he didn't mention her name in his speech, according to Aceshowbiz.com, Bieber later praised his lady love in the press room, saying, "She's amazing." Bieber took home five other awards Sunday night.

Beyoncé, honored with the Millennium Award, received taped tributes from Bono, First Lady Michelle Obama, The-Dream, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand and Lady Gaga. As memorable as her performance was thanks to some eye-catching visuals, killer dance moves and that barely there outfit, her shout-out to Jay-Z certainly stood out. "I love me some Jay-Z," she said, after calling him her "best friend."

Bey also thanked those who have been in Destiny's Child, including founding members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson as well as Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams; Rowland and Williams were in the crowd cheering their girl on.

Schwarzenegger revamps his image once again (AP)

Arnold Schwarzenegger, poses after receiving the insignia of Chevalier in the Order of the Legion of Honor during the MIPTV (International Television Programme Market) in Cannes, southern France. (AP Photo/Lionel Cironneau, File)

LOS ANGELES - For 35 years, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been carefully crafting his public image, from Austrian bodybuilder and international action star to family man and Republican politician.

Now, with his split from Maria Shriver and revelations that he fathered a child with a member of his housekeeping staff, where does Schwarzenegger go from here? Can he have a future either in politics or film, and how does he once again reshape his image, especially in the eyes of female fans?

"His biggest problem as an action star has nothing to do with being an adulterer. It has to do with being 63 years old and physically wrecked — unless they're going to make `Terminator 6: The Golden Years,'" said David Leibowitz, a Phoenix-based public relations and crisis communications consultant. "The love child is almost the least of his worries."

For decades, though, Schwarzenegger was the safest of box-office bets, with his bulging, muscular physique and his quippy, punny one-liners. The "Terminator" movies alone have made more than $1 billion worldwide — most of that outside the United States.

"For me, he has never been a serious action star, but rather a sort of parody of himself," said Ali Arikan, chief film critic for the Turkish website Dipnot.tv and Roger Ebert contributor. "He had that wink in his eye even in earlier, more somber stuff like `Conan the Barbarian.' In fact, when he tried to be more serious, as with 1999's turgid `End of Days,' it was risible: nothing more hilarious than seeing Arnie `act!' So, he's basically been this goofy clown, shrewd and with great intelligence about his career, but a clown nonetheless."

Shrewd indeed. Around the movie work, this "clown" began adding some serious yet varied cred to the script, including roles as President Ronald Reagan's fitness guru, a campaigner for George W. Bush, and a founding backer with Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore in the Planet Hollywood restaurant chain.

Then, as Schwarzenegger's movie glory days began waning, he revamped his image again and became the improbable governor of California in a 2003 recall election.

Having a Kennedy heiress by his side certainly didn't hurt, despite the couple's disparate political leanings and even through claims that Schwarzenegger had groped other women. As former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown once put it, "Maria has been much more of a benefit to Arnold than Arnold has been to Maria."

Schwarzenegger often said being governor was the best job in the world, one he would have enjoyed holding longer had there not been term limits.

While in office, his highly choreographed, stage-managed appearances often seemed more like Hollywood productions than political forums. With Gov. Schwarzenegger, opportunities for image enhancement were seldom missed.

There was even talk about repealing the citizenship law to allow Schwarzenegger to run for president.

But his standing with voters was rocky throughout his governorship as the political neophyte sought to figure out where he stood on a host of divisive issues. Schwarzenegger's approval ratings plummeted during the 2005 special election in which he placed several conservative measures on the ballot, all of which voters resoundingly rejected. With Shriver's help, he apologized and reinvented himself once more as a political moderate, winning easy re-election in 2006.

During his second term, Schwarzenegger made bi-partisan friendships in the state Legislature and after signing legislation to restrict California's greenhouse gas emissions, he became a leader in the green energy cause.

But he was elected on a promise to fix California's chronic budget woes, and despite his best efforts, he soon gave in to the gimmickry and maneuvering that have been hallmarks of budget deal-making in Sacramento. He was seen as largely failing to accomplish his mandate, and his approval rating fell to 25 percent as he left office in 2010.

Lately, he's been jet-setting with the likes of "Terminator" director James Cameron and announcing he's ready to re-launch his acting career. But following his separation from Shriver after 25 years of marriage and the damaging baby revelations, he says he's putting those plans on hold.

As the owner of the Carolina Cinemas chain of movie theaters, Bill Banowsky sees Schwarzenegger making a comeback eventually — but only as an action star.

"I'd feel great about it if he's playing a `Terminator' role, if he's playing a role in a big action movie. I think he's going to do very well," said Banowsky, who also founded the independent distributor Magnolia Pictures. "If he comes out with a romantic comedy as a way to get back in, that would be really challenging for him."

And Arikan of the Turkish website suspects Schwarzenegger still has a future as a global star, despite his age.

"The international markets thrive on stars and cling onto them. Just look at the international numbers of `The Tourist' versus the U.S. ones," he said. "He could churn out action films every few years and expect the equivalent numbers that he got during the latter part of his career, like `The 6th Day' or `Eraser.' But he could never again soar the heights he once did with `T2' or `True Lies,' either nationally or internationally."

For now, though, it's wise for Schwarzenegger to apologize, lay low and focus on his family, which includes his four children with Shriver, said Melanie Ofenloch, a Dallas-based executive vice president at the global public relations firm Weber Shandwick. But it may not be enough. Part of why this transgression seems so appalling to women may be because Shriver herself has devoted so much of her life to championing women's issues: "I think they're going to have that mentality of: `How dare he?'"

"He's going to need to continue to show remorse. He's going to have to be honest about what's going on. If there's more to be found, then that's going to make it even more difficult," Ofenloch said. "But we are a society that's willing to give people a second chance."

Yet reaching out to women's groups is exactly the wrong thing to do, said Leibowitz, the Phoenix PR consultant.

"We live in a cynical age. People have gotten used to the idea that the celebrity who gets busted for DUI makes a huge contribution to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or the celebrity caught dog fighting does community service with the Humane Society," he said.

"If you take care of the personal first, the professional will follow," Leibowitz added. "If Arnold Schwarzenegger is able to mend his relationship with Maria Shriver and with his children, we'll see that in public. Women, y'all are really smart, you'll figure it out. It's a gut instinct thing."

Non-Singing, Non-Dancing Britney Underwhelms at Billboard Awards

Even though Britney Spears has been on GMA and Jimmy Kimmel this year lazily performing songs from her latest album, it's been eons since anyone saw her attempt actual choreography. With her U.S. tour starting in less than a month, fans are inevitably wondering whether the mother of two still has it in her to do any serious hoofing.

If her two performances at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards are any indication, ticketholders for that tour should continue to set expectations low, since her moves weren't anything that would win her a spot on So You Think You Can Wiggle. As for whether she's gotten over her addiction to lip-synching, you're still much more likely to hear Kurt Cobain sing live this year than you are Britney.

Both of Spears' highly touted appearances on the Billboard Awards amounted to extended cameos, really. The three-hour telecast opened with Spears joining Rihanna nearly minutes into "S&M," entering with her wrists cuffed together with very long chains, just as Rihanna's were. The duet partners proceeded to suggestively writhe around separate poles before coming back together for a climactic pillow fight, as if to say, just kidding about the kinkiness! But Spears didn't even come off well in that skuffle, barely raising her pillow above waist level.

It may be time to institute a rule that, for live TV duets, either both parties lip-synch or both sing live, as to avoid glaring mismatches of the sort that found Rihanna clearly using her own pipes and Spears clearly years beyond caring if her mouth remotely matches her electro-bot studio recordings.

Which is not to say that Rihanna came out ahead in every regard. Before Spears came out, some of the moves that Rihanna shared with her dancers—or rather, her dancers' disembodied hands—were risible enough that it's as if her choreographer wanted to make sure the star's name and "class act" never appear in the same sentence again.

For the next two and a half hours, the show teased the reappearance of Spears, who eventually came out in the middle of a Nicki Minaj number. Well, "middle" is a misnomer: Britney actually came out to sing exactly 45 seconds of her current single, "Till the World Ends," while dancing every bit as energetically as in her first appearance—which is to say that she appeared to be conserving her energy for the tour. Or perhaps she thought, like some folks, that the world would be ending the previous day, and thus the lack of prep.

The show was notable largely for who didn't perform. Aside from her appearance in a commercial for a web browser, Lady Gaga was completely MIA—odd for an inveterate attention freak whose new album was coming out the very next day. Taylor Swift showed up to accept two awards and act as a presenter, but didn't sing, though presumably the start of her tour this week nixed the possibility of a production number. Justin Bieber also accepted two awards but apparently couldn't be coaxed into breaking into song.

Nevertheless, when Bieber kissed girlfriend Selena Gomez on the lips for the first time on live television, he at least provided the closest thing to a water-cooler moment. At least for viewers who are too young to have any idea what a water cooler is.

Older viewers do still have a couple of performances worth talking about at work the next day. Cee-Lo sang while sitting at a piano that first levitated and then did a slow 360-degree revolution in the air... with Cee-Lo still attached. Was it special effects, or was it Superglue?

Beyonce, the hardest working woman in show business, put enough work into her performance for herself and about 50 Britneys. At first, viewers may not even been sure that her appearance was live and not on film, since she was seen dancing in perfect unison with cloned images of herself that were clearly on tape. Soon enough it was obvious one of the images of her was not a projection but the real thing. Whether the typically impressive performance will be enough to get the masses to love her polarizingly unhummable new single, "Run the World (Girls)," remains to be seen.

But on this night of supposed winners, Beyonce was one of the few principles who came out clearly on the winning side. Not so with host Ken Jeong (The Hangover), whose pick as emcee had people wondering "who?" beforehand and "why?" afterward. As hosts go, he was pretty much the anti-James Franco, with his manic energy and utter commitment. But the opening comic production number with Minaj and Train's Pat Monahan fell flat, and it only got worse with Jeong challenging Keith Urban and Travis Barker to banjo and drum duels, respectively.

Also losing: everyone who wore sunglasses while performing, which at times seemed to be a majority of the billed artists. Taio Cruz makes great pop singles, but the shades only reinforced his utter anonymity as a live performer. When the shades-wearing Far East Movement were backed by a (presumably string-synching) female string quartet also wearing sunglasses, the ayes did definitely not have it.

Most notable bleeps? That would be a tie between Lil Wayne and U2. Weezy's brief rap during Mary J. Blige's number included five censor-able lyrics, at which point you might ask: Why bother having him show up? Meanwhile, any lessons learned by U2 after Bono got a network in trouble by swearing at the 2003 Golden Globe Awards were lost on the Edge, who had to be bleeped while making an innocuous remark while accepting an award for biggest live act.

Oddly, the three hours climaxed with a performance that didn't seem to belong to the same galaxy as anything that came before it: Neil Diamond performing a singalong medley of "Sweet Caroline" and "America." It would have been perfect if, as Diamond sang "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty," the producers had cut back to earlier highlights from the show, like Rihanna's "S&M" moves, to show just what makes America great.

Anyway, there was one thing that made the 2011 Billboard Awards great: the part in will.i.am's hair. This section of his noggin was electronically enhanced to glow a different color each of the three times he appeared on stage—pink, when the group did its inevitable medley of their 500 biggest hits; green, when he was introducing U2; and blue, when he accepted the Black Eyed Peas' award for duo/group. Will.i.am's speech was a curious one, including lines like "I thank technology, because without technology we wouldn't be here" (right before he worked in a plug for the computer company that employs him).

Will.i.am had a point, at least judging from all the tech-"enhanced" performances in the show. Now if technology could only re-teach Britney to dance.

How Did Arnold Schwarzenegger Keep His Love Child a Secret?

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted that he fathered a child out-of-wedlock with a member of his household staff, the former California Governor has everyone wondering—how could he keep the child a secret from his wife, kids, and everyone else for over a decade?

“He probably made payments to her in cash, money orders, or he could have had an accountant or a business manager pay her,” Beverly Hills-based divorce attorney Evan T. Sussman told FOX 411. “The money could have come from some account that she didn’t know about. Child support is not income to the person receiving it, and it is not deductible to the person paying it.

Scaring up the scratch wouldn't have been an issue, Sussman said.

“Arnold has the means to keep a love child a secret because he has the money," Sussman said. "Making a payment to this woman every month for 10 years would not impact his household—it would be like anyone else going out for an ice cream cone.” Legally, Schwarzenegger didn't have to pay the mother anything if she didn't ask him too.

“The mother would have to bring an action for child support,” explained Sussman. “Generally, child support starts being mulled when you bring an action. Usually it’s an action to establish parental relations. Legally, Arnold is not required to pay child support unless there is an action. He’s only paying the mother of his love child out of moral—not legal—obligation.”

On the conservative side, Sussman believes that Schwarzenegger has already paid the woman a over $2 million in child support.

“For example, if someone makes $3 million a year—the courts won’t really go above $3 million. And let’s say that they see the child only 5 percent of the time. What that person would be responsible for on a monthly basis in child support would be about $18,000, or about $216,000 a year.”With the news of her husband’s decade-long deceit, Maria Shriver “has been working with a very powerful financial adviser who has been helping her position herself for a divorce,” according to TMZ.

“She’s probably trying to find out what she needs to live on,” said Sussman. “Even though she has the Kennedy name, he probably has a lot more money than she does.”

“There are no winners in this,” said Las Vegas attorney Robert Massi. “But Maria has made her decision, she’s moving on, and the family will go on as well.”

Schwarzenegger’s fortune stands at an estimated $300 million dollars. TMZ reported that he was always “generous” with mother of his child, who they say lives several hours outside of Los Angeles in a four-bedroom house with a pool.

Beyonce: 'Run The World (Girls),' Video, Album '4' Revealed

Beyonce has been on vacation for over a year. By the looks of her new video, she hasn't missed a beat.

The superstar singer unveiled her new song and video, "Run the World (Girls)," on "American Idol on Wednesday (where she appeared as a mentor to the contestants), largely bringing back the elements that made her "Single Ladies" song and video mega hits: women's empowerment, and a brand new dance.

This video, though, ups the stakes, as it's set in some deserted African nation, with Beyonce and a cadre of women mesmerizing a gang of men who were foolishly set to take their headquarters. The song is the first single off her upcoming album, "4," which is set for a June 28th release.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the singer said she worked with the band of afrobeat legend Fela Kuti to gain new inspiration for her music, the first in a laundry list of influences for "4."

"I also found a lot of inspiration in '90s R&B; Earth, Wind & Fire; DeBarge; Lionel Richie; Teena Marie," she said, beginning her eclectic list. "I listened to a lot of Jackson 5 and New Edition, but also Adele, Florence + the Machine, and Prince. Add in my hip-hop influences, and you can hear how broad it is. I also gave myself more freedom to really belt out some songs, and bring soul singing back."

Watch the new video below, and see the album art after that.

Megan Fox Goes Topless In Passion Play

When are these actresses going to learn that taking their clothes off does not necessarily buy them street cred?

Megan Fox went topless for her latest movie called Passion Play. The movie is supposedly so bad it’s going straight to DVD.

Mickey Rourke, who co-stars with Megan, says,

It’s so bad. In your career and all the movies you make, you’re going to make dozens of terrible ones.”

I guess all this film has going for it is a naked Megan Fox. With angel wings. Hopefully this won’t hurt her career too badly.

"Celebrities from film, television and music feel a deep appreciation for the support they have received from Oprah and the show over the years," Salata said. "Oprah will be very touched by that gratitude."

Salata added that "Oprah is in great spirits, energized and taking in every last bit of these final days. ... The producers are a little teary-eyed -- it's hard to say goodbye."

Free tickets for today's taping were distributed via lottery after more than 154,000 fans applied. It will air on May 23 and 24, before the last-ever show airs on May 25.

Last week ProPaintball broke the rumor that Chris Lasoya had left Aftershock and joined back up with his former team, LA Infamous. According to a news release from Empire Paintball, the deal has been finalized and Chris will be putting down his EGO and picking up an AXE.

Chris Lasoya playing pro paintball with LA Infamous

Good news for LA Infamous fans! Chris LaSoya will be returning to the LA Infamous team for the remainder of the 2011 season. Chris has been playing at the top level of paintball since the beginning of the 80′s. Rising through the ranks he has won almost every tournament there is to win throughout his career. For most of that time, Chris played with the same guys on Infamous. Well, after a long hiatus, Chris is returning to his friends and family and the place he loves to call home, LA Infamous and Empire Paintball.

“I can’t explain how happy I am to be able to get back to my roots and with the guys I grew up with and some of the new blood on the team. They have a real solid team that I’m a part of again, and really glad to be here. Since sponsors started to put the lock down on where we could play I have been moving around from team to team, but now I can get back to where my heart is. I am looking forward to the rest of this year for sure!”, says Chris.

Chris will return to LA Infamous for the remainder of the 2011 season. Good luck to the team with another star player added to the roster.

Rachel Maddow: American history as ignorant snark

I promised friends, family and editors I would pull back on reporting and writing about the 24/7 cable TV partisans. It is too depressing and journalistically depraved a bunch on both sides of the great American political divide with which to spend your professional life.

But seldom do arrogance, ignorance, cultural irony and act-like-you-know phony bluster come together as they did in a segment on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show Thursday.

Furthermore, the subject matter she was dealing with, how ideologues try to re-write history, is hugely important -- even if she did get it astonishly wrong and show herself guilty and then some of the sins she was trying to condemn in a conservative politician, Mike Huckabee.

As you watch the video below, you might ask how and why a U.S. senator could be a member of a House committee. But that is just a warmup to appreciating how wrong she is as she says: "You may remember the House Un-American Activities Committee. Part of that was Senator Joseph McCarthy red-baiting the heck out of the entertainment industry, dragging in actors and writers and anyone he thought might have a whiff of communism on them ... Well, in 1947, Ronald Reagan testified before that committee -- as a friendly witness."

Please watch the video and then click ahead for more discussion.

Reagan testified before HUAC in Hollywood. McCarthy, a senator, had nothing to do with that House committee. That's what the "H" stands for: House. I think that is, what, about sixth grade civics?

John Parnell Thomas and John Rankin were among the more notorious names on that committee. They were members of the House -- not the Senate. A lesser-know member was U.S. Rep. Richard Nixon

But Maddow in her video, as those who view it will see, goes on and on about McCarthy and the Hollywood committee she thinks he was part of.

I will say no more, but it is astonishing to me that a program presented under the banner of NBC News could have this many incorrect statements of basic fact about such important matters of American history.

Let's see if MSNBC and Ms. Maddow correct the mistakes tonight.

You can read more analysis from Mark Finkelstein at NewsBusters about this matter here -- including a paragraph citing Ann Coulter also pointing out what a sorry, mixed-up, muddleheaded view of history Maddow was peddling in this video.

I have compared Glenn Beck's view of American history to that of an elementary student enamoured of the hagiography of biographers like Parson Weems. You know what? Maddow is worse in this case.

'A Million Little Pieces' author James Frey defends 'memoir' on Oprah

james-frey.jpgAuthor James Frey faces Oprah Winfrey for the first time in five years as one of her most memorable guests during a two part appearance this week.

Frey was targeted by Oprah back in 2006, when it became clear that his memoir titled "A Million Little Pieces," which she had chosen for her book club, was based more on fiction than fact. At the time, Oprah had said "I feel duped. But more importantly, I feel that you betrayed millions of readers."

Frey is sitting down with the talk show maven on Monday (May 16) and Tuesday to defend himself and come clean about the mistruths portrayed in his novel.

"I was dishonest in promoting the book," he admits.

"We originally shopped the book as a novel," Frey explains. "When I sat down to write the book, I didn't think of it as a memoir, I didn't think of it as an novel even. I thought of it as some, in a way, statement of defiance."

He continues to explain that when writing the book itself, he didn't write with regard to grammar, punctuation or even what genre it would fall under.

"I was thinking about it in the way that writers I admired and who mean something to me wrote," Frey says of the legendary Jack Kerouac and Henry Miller. "These were writers who wrote books about their own lives in some way, but they tried to make art out of what they lived. I don't think they were concerned about 'Is this fact or is this not, is this fiction or non fiction?' They were just trying to tell a story in the best way they could and in a way that made sense to them."

Frey's family retreated to France after the controversy went down, but the author hardly believes he's the first to commit such sins.

"I don't have a whole lot of respect for the genre." he says of memoirs. "I think most writers of memoirs, and this is a very unpopular statement, do what I did. I think when you're trying to tell a story and write a book, you manipulate things. You embellish things, you fabricate things, you play around with things to tell the best story you can."

When Oprah asks whether or not Frey felt that the backlash was deserved, he tells her that "I thought I got ambushed, absolutely." But adds that "I made a mistake and at a certain point it came time to pay for it. And I paid for it."

The public is generally split on whether the backlash is deserved, but Frey insists that he only meant well with the book.

"I was trying to write a book that might help people," he says. "I always hoped that the book would help people who were addicts or help the family members or friends of addicts, that it would give them a different way to think about it." Something that Oprah acknowledges was a success.

Tune in tomorrow for another full hour with the author, during which Oprah herself will acknowledge her own mistakes and regrets from that interview in 2006.

RONNIE JAMES DIO BIOGRAPHY (1942-2010)

Although his heading tales of “dungeons and dragons” might have single-handedly desirous Spinal Tap (more specifically, Tap’s artificial epic “Stonehenge”), was undoubtedly a singular of heavy metal’s most gifted and now identifiable vocalists. Born Ronald James Pardovana in Portsmouth, NH, upon Jul 10, 1942, the immature Dio proposed his music career at an early age, personification drum and wail for a internal band called the Vegas Kings. The band altered names over the years, until the late ’60s when the organisation became the Electric Elves, specializing in rock and folk sounds. By the emergence of the ’70s, their name was condensed to simply Elf (with Dio focusing upon lead vocals full-time, and becoming different his name to ) and a jot down understanding came their way, with ex-Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover producing. After multiform releases unsuccessful to chart, Elf met ex-Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore by Glover, who had only left the Purple and was seeking to form a new project. Shortly after their primary meeting, Blackmore invited most of Elf to stick upon his new outfit, Rainbow.

While Blackmore’s strange musical devise for Rainbow was to get back to basis (the finish conflicting of what the rock dinosaur Deep Purple had turn toward the end), the new organisation finished up sounded some-more or reduction similar to Purple — in fact, a some-more strong prog rock corner was added. Such strike albums as 1975′s Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, 1976′s Rising, 1977′s On Stage, and 1978′s Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll helped deliver Dio to the heavy metal rank and file worldwide, though when Blackmore done it transparent which Rainbow were his band, Dio jumped ship. Shortly thereafter, Dio perceived word which Ozzy Osbourne had left Black Sabbath, and a audition was arranged. Dio got the gig rught away (penning most of the Sab classical “Children of the Sea” at their primary jam session), and helped Sabbath mangle out of their beautiful and blurb slump, ensuing in such metal classics as 1980′s Heaven and Hell and 1981′s Mob Rules. With Sabbath enjoying their biggest success in years, Dio repelled the metal world by withdrawal what appeared to be a earnest kinship after the uneven Live Evil recover appeared in 1982.

Fed up with the “ for hire” tab which was bestowed upon him by many, Dio set out to form his really primary piece for one person project, called simply Dio. Similar in character to his prior bands though with a somewhat some-more blurb edge, Dio’s primary dual piece for one person albums, 1983′s Holy Diver and 1984′s Last in Line, racked up gold sales — creation the band an locus superstar in the own right (complete with a rarely melodramatic and prop-heavy theatre show). In 1985, Dio additionally found time to lead a heavy metal chronicle of Band Aid/USA for Africa called Hear ‘n Aid, which saw an all-star organisation of metallists behaving a Dio-penned song, “Stars,” with all the supports of the singular and manuscript of the same name starting to quarrel starvation in Africa. Although Dio couldn’t means their primary blurb success, they remained a unchanging metal attraction. In the early ’90s, Ronnie mended his differences with his aged Sabbath mates, and found himself versus the band once again for an album, 1992′s Dehumanizer, and successive tour. Predictably, the reunion didn’t final long, and he returned back to piece for one person work, ensuing in such albums as 1996′s Angry Machines, 2000′s Magica, and 2002′s Killing the Dragon.

In 2006 Dio reunited with his late-era Black Sabbath brethren Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinny Appice to form Heaven & Hell, declared after Sabbath’s primary recording with Dio in 1980. Heaven & Hell toured in 2007 and expelled the two-disc CD/DVD Live from Radio City Music Hall after which year, and the full-length college of music recording Devil You Know arrived in 2009. However, in Nov of which year Dio’s wife, Wendy, voiced which the thespian was pang from go through cancer, nonetheless indicating which the mildew was in the early stages and expressing goal for a full liberation and lapse to performing. Nevertheless, Heaven & Hell subsequently canceled their summer 2010 furloughed skeleton and, sadly, Ronnie James Dio succumbed to the mildew upon May 16, 2010, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in

JUSTICE FOR NATALEE HOLLOWAY (Lifetime) Advance Review

Justice for Natalee Holloway
Tonight at 9:00 pm ET, Lifetime premieres its latest movie about the Natalee Holloway story called JUSTICE FOR NATALEE HOLLOWAY. I had the opportunity to watch the movie in advance and I am still on the fence as to whether I liked it or not.

First, the movie is entirely too long. Although it clocks in at the usual two hours (with commercials), after the first twenty minutes or so, I began to think it was dragging. That is never good. Second, the story tells us everything we already know. This was somewhat of a problem with Lifetime’s first movie about Natalee Holloway, but at least the writers opted to provide some alternate theories as to what could have occurred. This time everything is exactly as it played out in the media with little room for creative story lines and actually no justice at all for Natalee.

Justice for Natalee Holloway picks up four years after Natalee Holloway’s disappearance and explores just how much this has affected and changed Beth Twitty, Natalee’s mother. The movie brings back Tracy Pollan as Beth Twitty and Grant Show as George “Jug” Twitty, familiar faces that automatically bring the viewer right back into the story. Unfortunately, despite newer events, nothing much has changed. Despite the title, there is still no justice for Natalee and still no answers for Beth. Perhaps the movie felt like it was dragging so much because it was so painful to watch Beth continue to find some hope only to have it squashed in the next instance. Then when she is finally able to somewhat move on, the fifth anniversary happens and she again abandons herself to revert right back to the greiving, angry mother again. That is not to say she has no right or that her feelings are inappropriate. To the contary, that is to be expected, however, it is still painful to watch.

The movie does a good job of showing contrasting views of one person living their life at the same time as another. For example, there will be dual shots of Joran getting off a plan at the same time Beth gets off a plane, each on entirely different missions. I found that to be the most interesting part, to see how events coincided with each other. Also, although, I have followed this story all along, with each passing year, less is said about subsequent events. The movie, however, showed exactly how everything happened including Joran Van der Sloot’s multiple offers to reveal what happened to Natalee, but only for money, and never truthful. I was also unaware of what happened between Beth and Jug.

The final say? If you are someone that has been invested in this story from the start, you might want to tune in as a follow up to the last major telling of the story. However, having said that, you will also know exactly what happens. If you are like me and that doesn’t really matter, then tune in to Justice for Natalee Holloway tonight at 9 pm ET on Lifetime. For those of you that do not know what happened since Beth Twitty left Aruba five years ago, it is worth the viewing to catch you up.

What I would really like to know is what you thought of the Justice for Natalee Holloway movie. After you watch it, come back here and tell me what you thought. Was it a good follow up movie? Did it tie up loose ends? Will there ever truly be justice for Natalee and peace for Beth? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
