A Charter Flight Flew Nazaruddin into Colombia from Washington DC
Theindonesiatoday.com - Colombia police said on Tuesday (Aug 9) that Muhammad Nazaruddin took a charter flight from Washington DC, USA to enter the country, AFP reported.
General Carlos Mena said in a press conference that the 32 year old fugitive flew into Colombia from Washington DC on a charter flight, but didn't provide details of his arrival.
Colombian police said Nazaruddin can be deported, which may take one or few days, or extradition, which might take six months. AFP also released a photograph of Nazaruddin with Colombia police officers.
At home the National Police promised to hand over the former treasurer of Demokrat Party to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for examination. Nazaruddin is suspect in the high-profile athlete dormitory bribery scandal. (haryanto@theindonesiatoday.com)
