Tuesday Notes

I went with Ken Godshall to the meeting of Committee on Preparation for Ministry where they voted to recommend that Ken be advanced to the status of Candidate at the May meeting of Presbytery. They also voted to recommend to exempt him from the Hebrew language requirement. (This will require a 3/4 vote by Presbytery.)

I spoke with Herb Reinke. They're home from North Carolina and looking to next Thursday, March 17, at 11 o'clock for the memorial service for their daughter Patricia.

The first two "Holy Conversations" on mission are completed, with more coming up. It's exciting, inspiring, and challenging. If you haven't got your name in, please contact me or Stephanie in the office.

We've distributed 12 copies of the book Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life. I'm looking forward to our first covered-dish supper and study program next Wed., March 12, at 6:30 PM.

Tomorrow night we gather for Ash Wednesday worship. If a service of reflection and self-examination can be said to be fun, I think it's going to be so. Join us at 7:30 PM.
