Five hanged in Iran for "drug trafficking"

Iran Human Rights, January 13: Five people were hanged in Khoramabad, capital of Lorestan province west of Iran.

Quoting the Iranian judiciary in Lorestan, the Iranian news agency Aftab, reported that the five who were executed were convicted of drug smugling.

None of those executed today were identified by name

During the first 13 days of the year 2011, at least 41 people have been executed in Iran, according to the official reports.
