For tomorrow night, I've adapted a poem by Maria Harris to be our candle-lighting prayer:
Tonight, as younger sisters and brothers of Jesus,
Let us take our time, and go slowly.
We will listen deep inside ourselves.
We know that simple things are holy.
We will let the candles enlighten our shared journey,
Knowing the light is not for ourselves only.
To find the simple joy of Christmas, we only need to visit with a child.
