Asma Jehangir is a renowned human rights activist and now a President of the Supreme Court Bar Of Association Of Pakistan. A very high profile and a fighter lady for the rights of women and children. She was awarded for this years most proficient individual to promote the culture of human rights. Irina Bokova, who is the Director General of United Nations Educational,Scientific And Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has nominated the name of Ms.Jehangir from Pakistan for this year's award. The award was announced on Tuesday and also marking the Day of Tolerance on the same day.
