Join in the fun and learning of OctoberQuest, as we think together about “How (Not) to be the Church.” This will be a day to challenge and stretch our thinking, on what it means to be the Church today. Youth Groups and Confirmation classes are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Our special guest for OctoberQuest 2010 is Peter Rollins.

Peter Rollins is a widely sought after writer, lecturer, storyteller and public speaker. He is also the founder of ikon, a faith group that has gained an international reputation for blending live music, visual imagery, soundscapes, theatre, ritual and reflection to create what they call 'transformance art'.

Peter gained his higher education from Queens University, Belfast and has earned degrees (with distinction) in Scholastic Philosophy (BA Hons), Political Theory (MA) and Post-Structural thought (PhD). He is the author of the much talked about How (Not) to Speak of God. His most recent work is entitled The Orthodox Heretic and Other Impossible Tales. He was born in Belfast but currently resides in Greenwich, CT.

Join us for worship, discussion, and fellowship.

The full day, including dinner at the First Presbyterian Church is only $15 per person if you register before October 20th. Day-of registration is $18. Youth and Children 17 and under are welcome for just $10.

Please do not let the expense be a hindrance – if you need financial support to take part in the day, contact Chris Shelton at
