More from Jim's Farewell...

General Presbyter Susan Andrews sent a letter that included these thoughts:

As the good folk at Mt. Kisco, celebrate and give thanks for the ministry of Jim Poinsett in your midst, I want to add my appreciation and admiration for the leadership he has shared.

Change and grief and conflict are the hardest valleys many of us ever have to enter. And Jim has lived in those valleys - both as a person and a pastor - for most of these last three years. And yet, along with the emotional burdens of his own heart, he has walked with a community of faith facing similar transitions and losses - and he has modeled a kind of grace and vulnerability and honesty that has been healing for all . . . .
