Roadmap for the Interim Process
(a tentative plan to get from here to a called pastor in ~23 months)

  1. Sept.: Outline an "Interim Team" to work with Interim Pastor to develop a proposal for Mission Study process.
  2. Oct. Session Meeting: With COM liason's OK, Approve Mission Study process
  3. Nov., 2010 through March, 2011: Mission Study process and drafting of Mission Discernment Document [MDD] & Position Description [PD]
  4. April Session Meeting: Review and Approve MDD and PD
  5. May: Congregation Approves MDD & PD
  6. June: Committee on Ministry Reviews and Gives Approval to Elect a Pastor Nominating Committee
  7. June: Congregational Meeting to Elect PNC
  8. July-Sept.: PNC prepares Church Information Form, gets approval from Session & COM
  9. Oct., 2011 - June, 2012: PNC Does Its Work and Brings a Candidate for Congregational & Presbytery Approval
  10. August, 2012: New Pastor Arrives
