Actress Hilary Duff Marries Mike Comrie

Actress Hilary Duff marries NHL hockey player Mike Comrie
American actress and singer Hilary Duff and NHL hockey player Mike Comrie officially tied knot Saturday in Santa Barbara, California, during an intimate sunset ceremony, reports PEOPLE magazine.

Hilary Duff, 22, kept her affair quiet and also the wedding, which was as small as possible. Her sister Haylie, who served as her maid of honor, was among the guest list of about hundred in the wedding.

Hilary was in Vera Wang mermaid gown with her hair in a bun. She was escorted down the aisle lined with candles and rose petals by her mother Susan Duff.

A witness told to Us magazine, "It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen... Absolutely stunning. They thought of every last detail and it was an incredible sight."

Duff and Comrie, 29, was together for last two years and got engaged in February this year during a Hawaiian vacation. Then, Comrie's rep said, "After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news... They are thankful for all of your warm wishes."

The engagement ring was reported to cost $1 million. In March, Duff was seen picking up two garment bangs from Vera Wang.

Duff was born on September 28, 1987 as Hilary Erhard Duff and worked with local theater and television commercials in her childhood. She gained fame through television series Lizzie McGuire where she played the title role. To her credit, she has films 'Cheaper by the Dozen' (2003), 'The Lizzie McGuire' Movie (2003) and 'Cheaper by the Dozen 2' (2005).
