A week around Sicily on bike in the name of poetry

Then it's again time for the annual "Sicilian Poetry Bike Tour" form August 1 - 7th. One week around Sicily in the name of poetry, artists and beautiful places. The 2008 edition was a huge success and the organizers expect even more pedal bikers to attend this year.

Sicily Poetry Bike 2009 is organized by the poet Ugo Enrico Pietrangeli Magnant, in collaboration with two Sicilian artists, Victoria and Andrea Ingemar Arena. For this unique idea of promoting Sicily, they have received sponsorship from the city of Milazzo, Messina, Patti, Taormina, Neptune and the organization UNESCO.

In this years trip there has been given special attention to some very unique locations, as well as entertaining artists. The goal is to incorporate all industries such as tourism, ecology, culture and sport into one beautiful week. "pedaling-poet" is perhaps the most interesting way to meet artists and singers along its winding route around the Sicilian island.

There is still places available, and those interested can contact Vittoria Arena here: vittoria.arena@gmail.com
