You may know that since the start of this year, we have shared our space with Mt. Zion Apostolic Church (Iglesia Apostólica Monte de Sion). This congregation established by Pastor Domingo Carlos (pictured at left with his wife Irene) six years ago currently has about 125 members including 45 children. Pastor Carlos, who was born in Mexico and came to California at the age of four, recently announced that he will be leaving to take on an international mission assignment.
His co-pastor, Jose Castillo (914-519-7393, josecastillogt@hotmail.com), will be installed as his replacement by their Bishop from the Apostolic Assembly of Faith in Christ Jesus in a special service of worship at 6:30 PM, Sunday, Oct. 3.
I'm sorry I can't be there--I'm traveling to Chicago for study leave, but you would be most welcome to attend.
